In addition to being a generous sponsor of Virginia Tech Athletics, The Colosseum is the only game day residential development giving something back to the University we all love. A portion of the sale of each unit, up to $500,000.00 will be donated to Virginia Tech towards the construction of the new basketball facility. The donations shall be made in the name of the purchaser, and the purchaser will receive Hokie Points for the contribution. The Hokie Club uses a Point Priority System to determine seat locations at sporting events as well as to assign parking.
To Virginia Tech Students
The Colosseum has also pledged to endow a permanent scholarship in the amount of $100,000.00, for a student athlete pursuing a degree in Property Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management. In addition, during construction, the Colosseum and its General Contractor will offer internships to Virginia Tech students in the Building Construction Program.
After construction is complete and hotel operations begin, the Colosseum and its management partner, Salamander Hospitality, will offer internships to Virginia Tech students in the Property Management, and Hotel and Restaurant Management programs.
